What Does A Head Covering Mean?

In this video Elizabeth McGee explains what a head covering means according to the Bible. If you’ve ever been asked “why are you wearing that?” this is how you can answer.

Very nice Elizabeth! I appreciate how you get right to the point. I think the symbolism of headship is both the hardest and the best part of head covering.

Would you consider her teaching/prophesying in this video? Wouldn’t she need to be wearing a covering, then? Especially if she’s quoting scripture? Maybe she forgot she wasn’t wearing it…
I’ve recently started covering and am still trying to figure out the times it is needed and not needed; which is why I ask.

Not only that, but the Bible says women aren’t to teach but just to be submissive housekeepers who will obey their husbands in everything. I don’t see why a WOMAN would be talking or explaining ANYTHING; the bible/church/Christian teachings is something only men can talk aboutor teach.

Aren’t women to teach when they do it under authority of a man? I think women shoudn’t be the main teachers in church and that they should wear headcovering when they teach. But what about Phebe for example… And isn’t prophesying also some kind of teaching? Reading 1Timothy2 it’s a difficult point…
