1) Introduce yourself to our readers.

Hello, my name is April Cassidy. I am a very happily married wife and mother of 2 children, a part time pharmacist, a blogger at www.peacefulwife.com and an aspiring author. I accepted Christ as my Savior and Lord when I was 5 years old, when my Daddy led me to Christ.

2) Where do you attend church? Tell us a little bit about it.

We attend First Baptist Church of Columbia, SC. It is a LARGE church with an average attendance of over 2000 people. Our pastor seeks to teach from a very biblical perspective and uphold the Word of God. We have incredible diversity there. It is a downtown church, so we have people from all over the city and suburbs who worship with us. We also have a Burmese church, a Hispanic church, a special ed ministry, a deaf ministry, a ministry for the homeless, as well as strong ministries for every age group. We have been members there for 8 years now. Before that, we attended a Southern Baptist church in our town where my husband’s father was the pastor for 21 years. Read more

1) Introduce yourself to our readers.

Hi, my name is Crystal Moyer! The Lord has been so gracious to me in my short 24 years, and I have seen Him work so intimately in my life that I cannot help but praise Him! I have grown up in the church, but not always a church that preaches from the Bible and so that has been frustrating and caused me to seek a church that firmly stands on the Word as  their source of Authority. I currently work as a social worker with adults who struggle with chronic mental illnesses. I am also engaged to a wonderful man of God, Christopher and we are in a long distance relationship until I will move to Texas in the fall of 2014. My heart and mind have been transformed through Christ and His work in my life both through Scripture and through Christopher and his leading of Bible studies. I enjoy theatre and have been heavily involved in both high school and college in performances and wish to get involved some time in the future. I also enjoy singing and lifting praises to our God both in public worship and private prayer times. Christopher and I are a mixed couple (he is black and I am white) and we have gotten some strong resistance from family members about this. However, through the Lord working in their hearts, things have become much more civil. I am amazed at the man God has given me to marry and I look forward to the day we will be married! The Gospel is at the core of our relationship and we seek to literally live out the picture of Christ and His Church through our marriage. We have learned a lot and have much more to learn about what that truly means. Read more

1) Introduce yourself to our readers.

My name is Alison and I come from a missionary background, growing up as a child in the Seychelles in the early 70s. I have known the Lord from an early age but perhaps with more head knowledge rather than heart. I really encountered the love of the Lord whilst training at bible college in my late 20s. That’s where the Lord radically changed me and developed within me a desire for truth and to know Him in a deeper way and to make Him known.  I have been challenged by the cost of following Jesus in everyday life and I seek to love Him wholeheartedly and somehow share the good news of Jesus. I have especially enjoyed various work opportunities overseas including time spent in Israel, a nation that the Lord has put on my heart.  I married at the age of 41, after what seemed like an arduous, sometimes painful and long wait, to a prayerful and righteous man that God had been preparing me for.  I have learned much from my husband and I have joy and appreciation in being his wife. 1) Introduce yourself to our readers.

I was baptized and confirmed at Mount Hope Lutheran Church & School. My family was know for having a EC membership, which means we attended church on Easter and Christmas, if that. After confirmation at the age of 13, like so many other Lutheran kids, I wandered away from the church. I always keep my faith in God; however, I didn’t go to church on a regular basis. I would go to any church just to get the experience, because I’ve always been fascinated with different cultures and religions. While others dreaded Sociology class in high school, I loved it. After high school, I went in Air Force where I meet and married my husband. We’ve been married for twenty-six years and have a twenty-two year old daughter. After having my daughter, I started attending church regularly and sent my daughter to Christian schools were I became very active in church service again. I currently work as a secretary for the church and school I grew up in and where my daughter attended school from preschool – 8th grade. Read more

1) Introduce yourself to our readers.

I grew up in church; attending both Methodist and Baptist churches, but didn’t come to faith until I was in my 30’s. I have been married to my High School sweetheart, Todd, for 25 years. We have 3 daughters, ages 22, 17, and 14. One of my greatest passions is prison ministry. I enjoy homeless outreach, as well. The past five years I have been blessed, along with my husband, to spend one Saturday night each month, and two to three weekends a year serving in our four local prisons as part of the Residents Encounter Christ Ministry. I am proclaiming the Gospel, testifying to what God has done in my life, worshiping, celebrating communion, and establishing ongoing friendships with the men and women there. I love to read. I am passionate about the Bible, theology, and encouraging women to go deep and learn all they can about God and His word. I plan to return to college once my husband has completed his degree, and my dream is to graduate from seminary with a degree in counseling, to minister to women; especially those with a history of sexual abuse. My husband and I feel God calling us to serve as overseas missionaries once we retire and our children have left the nest. For the past 4 years, the tug on my heart has been towards India! My greatest desire is to be a women after God’s own heart. Read more

1) Introduce yourself to our readers.

I’m 22 years old, born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Long Island.

My hobbies are writing music, playing piano, playing basketball, and doing anything fun. I’m an outgoing person- extremely open and maybe too friendly. I’m the kinda girl who basically knows everybody in the area I’m residing, but my actual friends are few. I really love The Lord so much and I’ve grown to the point where all I want to do is please Him and serve Him.

My family is absolutely awesome! We are a homeschooling family, my mom is super smart and super on fire for The Lord. My step dad is currently the worship leader at our church and he is loving, kind, gentle, and generous. I’m the middle child of seven and my siblings are my best friends.

I’ve always had a heart for missions, so this year I dedicated my time to doing my Father’s business out in China. It’s nothing special, just sharing the Word everywhere I go, leading by example, being set apart from worldly things and being ready to give an answer to all who ask of the faith I have. Nevertheless I know God has moved and changed me the most and I thank Him for that. Read more
